Naxos Venetian Tower
The Naxian landscape is filled with towers which are the majestic remains of Venetian rule on the island. Built with stone, the two or three storey towers with turrets and marble reliefs in their facades are found mainly in the more remote parts of the island, where the feudal lords had their lands. Today only about thirty remain. Many are in ruins, while others have been restored and inhabited. Source: anywherewecan.com
